Welcome to the Foundational Certificate program and thank you for your commitment to serving Jesus Christ and His church.
Orientation is held each year in mid September and classes are held September through June, ending with a retreat in June. New this year is our location, we will now be using the seminary classrooms at Mt. Angel Seminary! We are excited about this new location and believe that the beauty and holinsess of the hilltop will lend to a rich spirutal and intellectual formation of our students.The class schedule for the academic year is HERE.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the program? The Foundational Certificate is a two year program; Including courses in human, spiritual and pastoral formation, as well as a retreat.
Who is the audience? It is primarily designed for lay ecclesial parish ministers who don't have formal theological background.
How much does this program cost? The total cost for ten classes and one retreat is $600 per each year of the program. Payments are due by the first class. Please contact the program coordinator regarding payment plans.
What about books and cost? Information about books can be found HERE. Please purchase a Catechism, Bible, and Vatican II Documents.
When are classes? Classes are held about once a month on Saturdays. We begin with Mass and sessions start at 9am, ending at 3:30pm. Lunch is not included.
Are there scholarships? Please contact our office if you would like to inquire about scholarships.
